Summary:
Kim; who is around of the age 16-19 years old is the pride and joy of her father Bryan Mills. Bryan is a retired agent who left the CIA to be near his daughter in California. Kim lives with her mother Lenore and her wealthy stepfather Stuart. Kim manages to convince her overprotective father to allow her to travel to Paris with her friend Amanda. When the girls arrive in Paris they get into a cab with a stranger named Peter, and over excited Amanda tells the stranger that her and Kim are in Paris Alone. Using this information an Albanian gang of human traffickers kidnaps the girls. Kim barely has time to call her father and give him information. Her father gets to speak briefly to one of the kidnappers and he promises to kill the kidnappers if they do not let his daughter go free. The kidnapper wishes him "good luck," so Bryan Mills travels to Paris to search for his daughter and her friend.
Opinion:
I Personally think that, after watching Taken has definitely made me as person value my family allot better than i did before; Especially my mum. Also to keep certain conversations to myself when around people i don't know because you don't what kind of people are around you at the time. This film gets you to open your eyes to what is actually happening in countries continents like Paris, France etc It can happen anywhere. Pierre Morel has out done himself with this, as it caused me and possibly many others to sit on the edge of their seat, creating empathy and sympathy towards the father, daughter and her friend making everyone think ' what if that happened to me?'.
